What is the aim of the game?
The aim is to score as many points as possible. The points you have
scored so far are shown in the status bar of the browser window (the
bar on the bottom left that usually has 'Done' written in it). You
score points by blanking out adjacent pieces of the same colour.
How do I score the most points?
More points are awarded for each piece the more pieces are blanked out
in one go. To gain more points it is possible to move the pieces
around. This is only natural, otherwise the game would be very boring
indeed, and could be played by chimpanzees.
How do I move pieces?
Sliding a piece is in fact the default thing for the computer to do
when you click on a piece. Only if there are no holes for the piece
to slide into will it disappear, along with its colour sharing
neighbours. Any piece on the same row or column as a hole will slide
toward that hole, along with all the pieces that are between it and
the hole.
Gameplay
Because it is only possible to blank out pieces when there are no holes
for them to slide into, the game becomes harder as the game progresses.
This is where the skill comes into play. You will inevitably develop
your own tactics for dealing with this, but be aware that the game will
automatically end when every piece can slide into a hole (when the "Blocked"
score becomes 64), whether it is possible to rectify the problem or not.
