What is the aim of the game?

The aim is to score as many points as possible, before the aliens reach the planet. This is done by shooting the most aliens. I think each one scores 10 points.

How do I score the most points?

To kill more aliens you have to live longer. I know this is just common sense, but there's a bit more to it. If you purposely die on the last level, your 3 lives get you a whole new batch of aliens to get more points from. Sneaky. Also, it seems to be easier on slower computers.

Gameplay

There are obviously more aliens on the higher levels. There is also the speed. This increases on the higher levels, and because javascript games such as this with lots of movement are inherrently slow, when you have less aliens. This is actually quite annoying, when there are two left and they're streaking accross the screen getting far too close to the planet for comfort.

Hints

Sometimes when you click, it doesn't fire. This is because javascript is only an ickle language, and it's left up to the browser to decide whether you are clicking. You'd think this would be simple, but when you consider that the browser is also wired to check for double clicks and dragging, you can see why. Basically, click at slightly less than your double click speed, and avoid moving the mouse pointer while shooting. If you don't know what I'm on about then try playing it. Another thing to note is that you can only have 5 shots on screen at a time. This means that sometimes, it is better to hold off the trigger for a bit so that you can deliver a decisive blow.
